The most effective sound insulation seems to work best if its placed behind the engine, on top of the bell housing and under the tunnel cover. Try a carpet kit too... floorboards ect., making door panels from plastic or metal covered with a good, water resistant carpet, helps a BUNCH! (cheap and looks great too)
