| Coolant level Posted by Rangie39 on October 05, 2004 at 16:36:03: I have just bought a Range Rover 3.9 Vogue SE 1991 running with LPG. Repaired the radiator but keep getting the low coolant light flashing then turning off during a trip. I have driven a few hundred motorway miles like this, topping up no more than half a pint to switch the light off but soon it will start flashing then turn off for a while and start again randomly. There is no overheating at all in traffic or motorway - temperature indicator is always just a touch less than the half-way point. The system has been pressure tested holds good with no visible leaks and it holds good pressure. I don’t think it is an air lock but I will try this doing this: http://www.lrx.com/forum/messages/17532.html I am not getting any water bubbling at the filler point. Any ideas on why the coolant level is going up and down causing the flashing light to switch on and off? I’m away for a few days but will try all of your ideas when I get back, thanks in advance.
