I own a 1996 Discovery with 62,000 miles. Recently the check engine light came on for several minor oil leaks. The folks at Land Rover Alexandria were prompt and courteous in their advice and quickly fixed the problem. Additionally, I also went ahead and had the 60K service performed as well. The truck was in great shape until two days later when I drove over speed bump and the check engine light blinked on then off and then came on again. Is Discovery's check engine sensor prone to lighting up when hitting bumps? I called the dealer and they said to give it time to reset but it has not gone off. The truck has been driving perfectly. The warranty has expired so I am reluctant to return to the dealer. How worried should I be?
