A home-made setup was built not long ago on a friends RR that did the exact same thing as Safari Gaurd's kit (but for about $15 worth of steel), and although it looked great, the tires would start spinning even though it was in "full" contact with the ground. It is easy to see when you look a vehicle flex this way... it is flexing because the weight is on the compressed end, not the dropped one. In short: Flex is good to a point. But a real 4WD has to have lockers to be functional. That's one reason Mercedes put them on at the factory. (G-wagon, Unimog) (My 2 cents) VINCE - SIII 2.5 Diesel
