RE: Faulty Front Disc Pads /interior light/cruise control Frustration

Posted by Ralph From Australia on December 05, 1998 at 21:35:16:

I have a sept 94 disco (MA) chassis and the problems I have had are unbelievable.Everything from a new paint job to failure of central locking.Ignition module, 5 rear window seals,2 overheating senors in automatic transmission,1heat exchange valve(heating), 3 sets of front disc pads (only 50 000kms),rear door not aligning hitting wheel arch, front radiator grill higher on the left side than right 2 new grills because of cracking.etc But main query is the front brake pabs keep flopping around in caliper and no brand of pad fixes it It also makes a squealing sound at high speeds. Also interior light just comes on and flattens battery or sets of alarm.(depending if alarm is armed or not). Cruise control works but when you hit a bump in the road it cuts off I have checked all electricals and concluded its got something to do with the vacum system in engine. Any help on this would be appreciated. If I cant resolve these issues I sell it or let some bastard steal it.
