Need advice on Diesel Rover Wading Plugs

Posted by Dave-UK on December 05, 1998 at 15:05:30:

My diesel rover defender has two wading plugs, first in the cam belt area, and second at the bell housing. Although I'm careful when off roading to fit a plug in the cam area I'm not so careful at fitting a plug in the bellhousing. I'm also afraid to fit a plug at the bellhousing for any length of time due to oil dripping for that area. How important is it to fit both plugs and in what conditions. (mud? water depth etc). Also where is the breather to extend the lair line on the cam timing/injecter?
and does anyone have any suggestions on how or where to run the air lines to all components with a snorkel (in the snorkel or on it?)
Thanks
