Remember, the exhaust valves open on the second stroke, so there is no way an engine could do that. The injectors don't put out that much fuel anyway... unless you cranked for a l o n g time. It has happened, to some motors, when they run in deep water and the intake sucks in water, the engine will hydro-lock ...and then usually will throw a rod or break a piston. One fix for that problem (if it was not revving too high and didn't ruin the engine) is to take all the spark plugs out and then crank it to blow the water out. It sounds more like you are having an electrical and injection problem of some kind. The air-con. clutch is a wierd one. Is your Battery OK? Why do you think it's hydro-locked anyway?
