Hesitation under load

Posted by Shawn on June 11, 2004 at 17:06:13:

I have a 90' classic that was converted to a 4.6 about 5,000 miles ago. The engine has performed well since then. However, recently it has started hesitating while I'm accelerating . Once I'm to speed and ease off the pedal it does fine. I mentioned the newer engine because I've read valves can be a problem. Also during the conversion we put new plugs and plug wires. The fuel filter came to mind. It has done this through more than one tank of gas. also, we did not do anything to the injectors during the conversion. Maybe injector cleaner would be a good start. Is there any possibility of just dropping the Rover body onto a Chevy Tahoe chassis?(ha ha).. Special thanks to Mike at WCB. You've helped solve more than one Rover problem for me.

Thanks
Shawn
