land rover re-spray

Posted by old on May 01, 2004 at 03:37:39:

does anybody out there have technical knowledge about two pack land roover paint ive just had my defender re-sprayed the sprayer has sprayed it the wrong colour! he says he will rectify the problem and spray the correct colour on top after dulling the exsisting finish my concern is about the sticking power of two pack for all i know he may rush the job as he is losing money on paint and spray time and may not prep or dull the land rover paint sufficiently
the main queries are:
1.would all the surfaces down to all the nooks and crannies need to be dulled
2.should i expect him to use some sought of chemical that dulls finishes
3.if he doesnt dull the vehicle sufficiently will there be a problem in the future with the durability of the paint
4.should he be putting two top coats on
5.are there any other things to be aware of when something like this happens
any help would be greatly appreciated with this matter thanks
