Nothing!!!! Start to take into account combustion chamber design, cam grind, inlet CFM, exhaust CFM, solid lifters vs hydraulic lifters, valve spring design, valve and seat design, engine management and ignition control then we are talking facts. My old 1974 4.2 litre GM V8 would rev. to 6000 rpm repeatedly and it had pushrods, hydraulic lifters and a carburettor. The only reason I could give it more was the hydraulic lifter pumping up at high RPM. Michaels facts are correct be it Land Rover, Hyundai, Nissan whatever. BTW. If it doesn't have a RPM limiter, look up the max. RPM in the spec. data and give it a squirt right on this limit a number of times per month (after it has reached N.O.T). Works wonders.
