There is a discussion on the Roversnorth RangeRover/Disco(can I call it that?)/Defender BB on this very subject. They are at www.roversnorth.com. Yes, there are dickheads there as well. The nexus of all this was that East Coast Rovers is offering "new" D110's for purchase. No one knows how they are doing this but they are 50 state legal and seem on the up and up. I guess they've been investing in some good import/export attorneys. One interesting rumour I've heard is that alternative fuel (LPG, Propane, etc.) vehicles are exempt. Hmm... I guess the next question is how proactive is DOT on any follow ups. I have had some dealings with these folks and they're about as generous as some folks on this bb who respond to innocent calls for advice. Good luck. Where there's a will there's a way.
