I too have had problems with a new vehicle. 1995 Def.LWB.TDi. (Not our 1st LR). Leaking roof, doors not fitting, doors flying open when cornering, dented body, rust, new gear box at 12500Km, transfer box failure, etc. All fixed by LR, except the roof leak. LR finally gave up and replaced with a new Tdi in Feb, 97, complete with designer body dents and the same leaky roof! They have tried to fix it but now say they can't satisfy my request, offering a miserly cash settlement to take the vehicle back. My advise (after 9 years of LR ownership) for what it's worth..Either, (A) get out while you can, (B) stick with it but be prepared for lots of post-warranty expense, or (C) accept your relationship with a LR in the spirit of the one of LRs poffered excuses to me, "It's only a utility vehicle, they all leak".(Landrover after sales technical director S.A.)
