I am in despirate need of help, please please reply if you know, For the past 2 weeks, I have tried to gather all of the information for importing an LR D110. I have the truck waiting for shipment and I keep running into problems with either the DOT or the EPA. Apparently the 110 (my model is an 86) does not meet US safety standards through the DOT.
I have heard of people importing Defender 110's before and they all claim "it can be done." Calling all people who claim this, HOW CAN IT BE DONE? I want this truck all too bad and I have the money waiting. How can i get past the DOT? What modifications, if any need to be made to the truck to get it up to US standards? I am in despirate need of help. Please reference people to me, any phone #'s would be greatly appreciated or even email addresses. Help out a future (hopefully) Landy owner.
