| Feul pump problem? Posted by nflow on December 09, 2003 at 21:56:55: Today, my 1996 Disc. wouldn't start. The gas was just below 1/4 tank. I put in about $5 worth of gas, and it finally turned over. Another problem I find with the gas, is that the accelleration pretty much just stops when going up hill at 1/4 tank or lower. Seems that the feul pump is not registering that last 1/4 tank left of gas? What needs to be done? The mechanic thinks the feul pump needs to be replaced. If so, do you think ordering the parts through one of the LR websites would be cheaper than getting it from my local dealer?
