I have a 94 Discovery, I have been happy with it up until I had to replace the STEPPER MOTOR thereafter the car kept stopping on me. The dealers could not figure out why. So from this board I discvered that mabye the re-set base idle needs to be done. After this was done the car is running great again. All SUV's have there mechanical issue however, I am not so sure I would by another Land Rover again because of the service issue and what else may go wrong !
