I am looking into to buy a Defender for a long trip that I am planning to make from the US to South America/Brasil. I found out that the prices for the Defender are to much in the US, besides that they stopped importing it in 97, and that last model was AUTOMATIC (I hate that). In Brasil, you can buy a new one 110 for the price of a very used one 90 in the US. Does anyone know if there is a possibility that this will change in a near future and the prices will go down in the US? Any info on the prices of a Defender in Canada or Mexico?
The prices in Brasil are for a new one are: Def 90 - $37.000, Def 90 County - $42.000 and Def 110 - $42.960.
I really would like to make this trip leaving from the US...
