The second time, I changed the spark plug wires.

It was humid both times and I actually think the wires were the problem both times: As they age, they can't keep the voltage all the way to the plugs, espacially in humidity. When you crank the engine, that takes a bit of a bite out of the voltage, too. I'd try recharging first (because I'm cheap) and then suspect the wires second. If charging works, replace the wires soon.
