I read a while back that Mazda was testing hydrogen gas powered rotary engines, but development was shelved due to the difficulty of storage and the potential hazards of hydrogen gas.
"Fuel" of the future (except its already here) has to be electric/petrol hybrids, just check out Toyota's Prius.
Read a while back that someone was looking at electric/petrol 'hybriding' the old 2.25 Rover Engines, and maybe even complete electric conversion for Series LR's. Anyone got any info???????
