Have you owned a Jeep or any other 4X4 before? If you have, what were your experiences? How often will you really drive 'offroad' or even through heavy snow? Do you need to tow a heavy trailer; do you like a V6 engine in tight engine bay? Are you satisfied with rear drum brakes? Do yourself a favour and think long and hard before buying any so-called 'specialty vehicle'. If you talk to the mechanics at any LR dealer after work they will reluctantly tell you that LRs are special vehicles not really suited for just going to the Mall or idling in traffic jambs. You say reliability is important to you - that alone gives you your answer - buy a run of the mill normal Japanese vehicle that you can use daily and neglect; I'll bet you will be much happier. But don't listen to me, If nothing else, talk to a few people in your local LR Club, they'll give you good advice!
