Don't bother! I once hand painted a car, what a complete and utter waste of time and money. Go out and buy a Spray Painting book, "Gregory's" publish a fantastic one. Hire the best quality gun and compressor you can afford, and follow the instructions in book!!! It really is very easy, the hardest part is finding the right air pressure settings on the compressor. I had never spray painted anything ever, but I read the book, bought myself a gun and compressor, and painted my Land Rover a fab metallic burgundy with 3 clear coats!!
I'm telling you, if I can do it, so can you, but remember the secret is in the prep, and if any bare aluminium is showing you must etch prime it first. Grab yourself some enamel (easiest paint to spray, cheaper than acrylic and dries very hard) give your LR two or three coats, then finish it off with a coat of 30% paint 70% thinners for an unbelievably glossy finish.
Even if you stuff it up a bit, believe me, IT WILL LOOK A BILLION TIMES BETTER THAN A BRUSH JOB!!!!!!!!!!
