But what about the gearbox??? Can it handle extra power?? When I fitted an Aussie built Holden 3 litre 6 cyl. to my 2A, I was strongly advised to leave it standard (77kW) so that gearbox wouldn't disintegrate. I have fitted twin stromberg carbs (i had a set of neat triple SU's but the manifold wouldn't fit in engine bay!) and I plan to fit 2.5 " stainless headers and exhaust, and this makes me nervous enough as it is cause I don't feel like rebuilding the 'box too often. Some advice from you MG, oh master of all things LR?????????
