Advertised in Hemmings somewhere is an index that demonstrates parts universally used on different marquees of the same period. I am new to Land Rovers, but my background is restoring T series MGs and I was often able to find parts identical to the MGs and to lesser products of the period using this guide. Remarkably, the differential at the same part houses between identical parts bearing different part numbers was staggering
