I have a 1979 109" Series 3 that is ex military. It has a 2.25 petrol engine in it and has only covered an indicated 32000 miles. I don't know if this is since it was decomissioned or from new, but judging by the condition of the rest of the vehicle I would say it is from new. I have had no problems with it in nearly two years of ownership other than a starter motor (posted on forum a while ago) which seems to be incorrect fitment for the age. I replaced like for like and am having no more problems.

It was originally 24V (FFR) and I am not especially happy with the conversion to 12V, but it all works OK. I think the MOD look after their vehicles as they don't want anything in an unservicable condition. Anyone I know in the forces has nothing but praise for Landy's, and also echoes my view that vehicles are maintained to a high standard.

Hope this helps.
