| Series III - High/Low ratio selector jumps into neutral Posted by John de Burgh on February 17, 2003 at 04:24:22: HI, My 1974 Series III (all standard 2.25 petrol & 4 speed box) Landrover keeps jumping out of low ratio when going downhill, using engine braking i.e no power on, it may jump out at the point where the engine braking begins to taper off if the slope flattens out a little. Any one have any suggestions about what the problem is? There are no other problems with gears or gear changing. thanks!
