More Series 2A Brake Problems!! Posted by Ana on October 16, 1998 at 08:11:07: I have a 88" Series 2A. I have been rebuilding it for the past 4 years. 12 months ago, I had the entire brake system rebuilt: new lines, calipers, drums, but not master cylinder because I had already replaced that when I bought the vehicle five years ago. Anyway, the car was still just a chassis and bulkhead (yes I am darn slow) and about a month after the brake work was done (note car was just sitting in garage) i noticed my nice new paint job was bubbling up on the drivers side footwell, and lo and behold, it was being caused by brake fluid leaking down the brake pedal!! it continued to slowly leak, until last week when I pushed car out of garage and used the brakes quite heavily a number of times (yep still a chassis) HEAPS of fluid leaked down the pedal!! WHERE could this be coming from?? (somewhere around master cylinder/fluid reservior?) I just can't source it!! Please don't tell me it is too serious?? Any help much appreciated!!!
