I have been restoring a series 3 ex mil 109 land rover to ship home to Canada with me this summer. It had been starting and running and then wouldn't start. I replaced the starter at a local dealership. They supplied me with a "shorter" starter than the original but insisted it would be fine. I have been unable to start it since.
