I connected the 2 shoes together with the top (long) spring instead of just the leading shoe to the adjuster post. Thus when I released the pedal the trailing shoe squeezed the piston right back again into the cylinder which meant I had to pump the pedal to get it up to the drum again. As soon as I took my foot off, back the piston went again. I tore my hair out until a friend put me right. Nigel
