I've noticed this on my rr86 classic too. Mine has a griddle in the pull out tube in the filler neck that I assume is to filter out debris, and it causes the fuel to stop flowing into the tank at the usaul rate making the petrol nozzle stop. On mine you can pull this tube right out and this cures the problem as there is nothing to stop the fuel flowing freely. If it bothers you just pull it out at every stop.
