2.25 petrol oil ports

Posted by Michael from Mountains on December 19, 2002 at 17:04:26:

Can I get some good advice on which of the oil holes in a 2.25 petrol engine is the pressure supply to the filter housing and which is the return from the filter? Using military-style orientation, looking from the right side of engine block, you have a hole at 2:00 and another at about 7:00, with 12:00 being the top of the round flat surface of the block. To properly fabricate an oil cooler, it is critical to get the supply and return outlets right. Any educated advice is welcome; no guesses, please. That I can do myself (and have done plenty in refurbishing a '66 II-A 109). Thanks for any help.
