It only really happens when the engine warms up, and when the weather is above 70 degrees F. I've replaced O2 sensors, vacuum hoses, etc. with no corrective luck. Dealer has suggested it might be sticky valves - and a $2500 fix. At this point its winter here and she's running fine again. The check engine light even reset itself. I know I shouldn't think this way, but at this point I'm just goping to run her till she's dead. I know this doesn't answer your question. Good luck though...
