| Replacing tie rods Posted by NGH on December 17, 2002 at 14:42:45: Howdy, 88 RRC 126k miles. I am going to replace the tie rods on the truck and would like to know if this is a DIY project or do I pay $80/hour to have the local LR indie shop do this? This is a safety item that I am thinking of leaving to the pros, but if people out there have done this with ease and safety, then I would like to save some $$. Thanks for your opinions/advice. Also, any tips/tricks on install or alignment? Nick
