Most reputable gearbox reconditioners will do the job but they will all get the parts from the manufacturer Superwinch (used to be Fairey Winches Ltd) in Devon. The parts are hideously expensive!! With the land rover overdrives it's not usually one part that needs renewing. Best to get a gearbox bloke to strip down and give you the bad news and then ask him for a quote. Alternatively phone Superwinch and ask their advice (01822 614101). You're probably looking at approx. £500 for a new unit but it might be worth it in the long run even though it might mean taking in washing to finance it.
