| Original batteries for defenders Posted by neiool on November 17, 2002 at 01:49:22: G'day All, Does anybody know who manufactures the original battery that came in a defender 110 (1993)in Australia. It was Land Rover stamped but has no other manufacturer's label on it, I presume Rover outsources them from some where. The battery has outlasted 3 other aftermarket batteries in similar vehicles where battery life seems to last about 2 years or so. Anyway, I'm most impressed by the life of the battery, it is just starting to loose a few of those cranking amps now after almost 9 years of service even from getting a beating x-ing australia quite a few times, it seems to just keep going, (touchwood).
