MOST LR OWNERS ARE SUCKERS

this is my opnion and the expressed opnion of lr dealers. let me start by saying that Land Rovers are Great Automobiles. However the people that own them have more money than sense. who would take a 60k car into the woods or mud and risk tearing it up. they are a status symbol for most people. I hate hearing those people that are selling them say NEVER BEEN OFF-ROAD. What a loser this person is. why own a 4wd if you dont live some where that requires one due to weather and not venture out and use it for what it is made for. OK you can easily hop curbs at the mall or drive around that slow mini van in the carpool line every moring. If your worried about repair bills because it is a quote ( Range Rover) unquote then buy a honda. YOU like to impress your friends about how much it costs to repair one. What you really should say is that " I am stupid enough to pay to much for a car that i cant afford to fix if it breaks but people think i am rich because i Drive a RANGE ROVER" that is all that matters. These thing have less room in them for gear or strollers than any other 4wd in its midsize class. what good is it to fold down the rear seats there so damn thick that they take up the same amount of space any way. and you cant put your seat back. the A/C doesnt blow enough air out to own one further south than maryland. OK now for what is really on my mind. you should never take an LR to a dealer except for warranty service. the recomended service intervals are so basic except for two intervals ( to replace the o2 sensor). that any garage or fairly mech. inclined person can do. unless you really want to pay 600.00 for an oil change and wash. There are a number of after market parts houses that are exclusively for Land Rovers that can get everything you need for repairs at very good prices half what the dealers charge. DAP is probably the best. they know everything. any transmission shop can fix a LR tranny OH! It is a ZF transmission commonly found in bmw, mercedes, volvo, jaguar, and others. nothin unique about this. service engine light comes on Probably a vacuum leak or wet sensor disconnect the battery cable and reconnect and Presto the light goes out. They dont you to know that. if it comes back on then check all hoses again. the emission light comes on at a preset mileage. look under the passenger seat and stick a paperclip into the reset hole on the right box and the light goes out. these are only temporary fixes if they dont work then you might need to go to the dealer for a computer diagnostic test to determine what the problem is find out what and then replace the part yourself our have a mechanic at an Honest repair shop fix it he want charge you nearly as much as the dealer would. If he says" UH! thats a Range Rover them things are expensive to fix" you better get out fast. they are very simple designs.
