Ron, if it has the single little round brass terminal in the round black plastic connector, then connect the tacho to that point.

If you measure it with a voltmeter on AC, not DC, it should be about 7 to 8v.

If it doesn't have this terminal contact me via email and I can help with getting this signal from your Bosch alternator from the "star point" on the stator.

To keep the tach signal accurate, the pulley size on the Bosch alternator will have to be the same diameter as the Lucas you took off.

I will need to know its rated output (stamped on the body) eg. 60 Amp, 85 Amp etc.
