lose steering on Defender 90 Posted by Krisman on October 09, 1998 at 21:48:04: The other day, i took my Defender 90 built 1991 for wheel allignment. After the allignment, the streeing feel loose, i.e. the gap between left and right is too big. It gets to a empty space before I can make the steering response. I return to the allignment shop but they insist that everything is in order. They suggested me to make adjustment at the steering box, i.e tightening the adjuster. Hwr, they also warn me that by doing so, i might have to face the chance of ruining the steering box. Please advise which one is correct and how to rectify this matter as i feel the car somewhat dangerous for driving on the freeway. Best regards,
