I bought 90 county in 95 with 76k miles and it now has 95k. second owner. only problem has been worn rocker arms. you can purchase all the parts you need from DAP in vermont. their prices are great . most parts are OEM and are up to 60% off dealer costs. I do all the maintanance myself. These cars are simple in design. there is no reason to take it to the dealer for repairs. invest 170.00 in a shop manual and it explains all the neccessary info to repair every thing. the transmission is a german ZF commonly found in all mercedes, bmw, jaguar, volvo cars. the engine is an 60's version of buicks alumnium V6 with a primative coil ignition. I also replaced all the lifters when i replaced the rockers at a total cost of 220.00 for parts. it took me about 3 hours. most of the time was spent removing the fuel injection wire harness. when you replace the brake pads you must replace the rotors as well. whole kit for that is under 400.00 the maintance schedule at the dealer intervals is a joke. except for the 90k interval it is basic stuff they will charge you 650 to change the oil, belts, look it over and wash it. what a ripoff. just read the manual and you can check 95% of all the stuff they check in your drive way. I was at the dealer and over heard the service manager quote a person 289.00 to replace the battery. sears will do it for 59.99 for a diehard. WOW no special range rover parts need for that. unless you are a dumb ass and fall for it. you should have seen the looks on their faces when i told the customer that I would do it for 100.00 in their parking lot. enough said. any car with that many miles on it is going to have repair problems sooner or later. So if you buy one and it breaks dont blame the guy you bought it from. ps I am selling mine for a suburban. need more room. it is beautiful is has a 2500.00 urethane suspension upgrade and rides better than a new one. 17,000 and its yours. happy trails
