Classic Rover Intermittently Losing All Power While Driving

Posted by L Lyon on October 08, 2002 at 20:47:06:

My 94 LWB has a long history of infrequently stalling while driving until the last couple of months when it has become all too frequent. It is truly exciting to be driving along at 70+ MPH and have to car cut out on you. After turning off the ignition the car either starts up again immediately or sometimes takes a time or to to get going and all is fine until the next time. No lights come on when this happens and I have been told that unless the check engine light comes on there will be no code to read for diagnosis. Over time we have ruled out fuel pump, ECU, and relays as we interchange them with our other rovers and still have problems. This does not seem to be related to humidity, speed, temp, or phase of the moon. We are open to any and all suggestions as I don't feel too safe right now.
