Preparing a '63 88" for NEVADA TROPHY this December...

Posted by MG/WCB on October 07, 1998 at 23:35:39:

"WCB" will aagain help sponsor Todd Ruppel's '63 88" in the NEVADA TROPHY (Dec 4-6, Reno, NV)....
Just today it was fired up with one touch of the button.... The head has been completely gone through (after some Bozo screwed it all up!), new seat (8) had to be fitted with all new valves, ports were opened up & blended as were the seats. The 2bbl manifold was ported-polished & matched (as was the header). The orig cam was removed, good thing too, as the same "Bozo" left the chain tench lose, the dist drive gear in wrong (used washer to shim it... yuck!). Anyway... now has a 2.5 litre cam, new tappets, rebuilt oil pump, the works. With its polished valve cover & inlet manifold, nickle plated header it looks quite sharp... and it runs like a house on fire (Todd's a fireman). Any one care to challenge him (4 banger to 4 banger) in December? Or even team up with him? Yes!? Call 925-606-8301 or fax you entry request to 925-606-8302. Oh, top speed? Tonight it did over 75 in 4th (and I wasn't pushing it either), wait til I dial in the timing Thursday!
