The difficulty with Dormobiles is the seat clearance with the shifter(s) for the trans. You can fit the 200 to the stock 4 cyl trans and it will last for a while. The turbo may be tight with the LHD steering. I know a guy locally who is building up a 300 TDI dormie but it looks like the nose will need some work to allow a fan and rad. Maybe late IIA panels or defender. Automatic helps sorting out the seats too, but most of them are too wide for the front driveshaft. I've done the 250 six, it will fit well in the 2.6 bay but works the stock trans and back axle pretty hard. Did one with a TH350 auto but they are too wide, ended up with a two piece front driveshaft. Not bad but pricey. Any big engine and I'd swap out the rear for the sals. maybe 3.54 to boot.
