Have you had the vehicle from new or only recently bought it?
With a more "agricultural" gearbox than ordinary cars, transfer box, and permanent 4 wheel drive you will get some transmission noise. The type of tyres (tires) will also affect the noise and the pressures at which they are running. If the vehicle has been off-roaded this will also introduce an element of noise due to wear in the transmission.
Need more info to answer fully.
