| Defender 110 for California Posted by Gino Cecchetto on June 05, 2002 at 23:39:40: Hello; I'm new to the forum, in fact I'm new to Land Rovers. I have always loved them and spent a month in them while in Africa but have never owened one. I think I have finally decided to sell my Hummer and buy a D 110. Can someone give me the nitty gritty on what year of manufacture and drive train componets are prefered for reliability. I would really like a 5sp turbo diesel. Also I need some advice on how I get one of them in to California. I know about the 500 93 model year trucks that were brought in to the country but they are really premium dollar,not easy to find and have gasoline engines. Any advice you can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks Gino
