It was right around the rear of the engine although it was more towards the passenger side. I was thinking that it was a loose exhaust component, and I asked the dealer what that noise was and he said the same thing. I do not know for sure if that is what it was, as I did not purchase that vechile. When on the test drive I never heard anything as far as noise from the rear of the engine like you say is heard when driving yours, only at idle was the noise apparent. You would do well to take it to someone to look over and see what may be loose. You would be suprised that it is probally just a few loose components. Someone may be able to shed a little more light on this than I have, but I hope I have given you a few things to think about. Let me know how it all works out.
