I just purchased a Disco II 2001 SE with 10k and figured it would probably be a good idea to rotate the tires (255/55 R18). Before doing this I figured I should call my local Land Rover service dept. and ask if this ok. They said, "we don't recommend it and don't do it." Thats fine but they could not give me a reason why not to rotate them. I basically wanted to bring the front tires to the back and vica versa (not a cross rotation). All tires are the same size and again I don't see the harm but want to know the reason.
Secondly, I do plan on towing a 1 ton boat around with my vehicle and was wondering am I to worry about overheating the tranny? My concern are those hot sunny days in the summer. Are there tranny coolers for this vehicle?
Any info. or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
