I live in Bismarck ND and have a 1995 Discovery. Last night I was on the road and had stopped to get dinner. When I ggot back to the vehicle and turned on the engine, the "check engine" light came on. The engine itself sounded fine, it had been running well w/ no problems and continued to run well (I was on the road and had to drive 100 mile to get home). The only possible thing that may be wrong is that my water pump may be going out (the vehicle has over 100,000 miles on it). My question is, what symptoms does the "check engine" light indicate? What does it diagnose? As I am 400 miles from a authorized land rover mechanic or otherwise, this is critical. Thanks
