I have a Range Rover classic, originally fitted with a 2.4 VM TD engine. Approx 3 years ago it was fitted with a TDi 200 engine which was supplied new from Land Rover. The tacho would appear to read approx 20% fast. The alternator pulley is the one supplied as part of the kit. Was the VM tacho calibrated different to the V8? Do I need a new tacho head or a different size alternator pulley?
