Bigger Tyres for Defender 110

I intend to replace my 7.50R16-tyres on my 110 and buy bigger ones.
I'd prefer the 255/85/16-BFG-MTs on the 6.5"-heavy-duty-wheel LR
sells for the Defender 130. Does anyone know if this could make technical problems ? And- my second question - does anyone know if those tyres are allowed in Europe or even in Austria ?
