The fuel system for fuel injected engines runs under very high pressure, with the obvious results if any part is diconnected. Fairly simple to depressurise though - you need to remove the fuel pump relay (under the front drivers seat on UK cars - passenger seat in US) then turn the engine over until all fuel has gone from system. Getting the filter off is then very straightforward (tin can size canister under right rear wheel arch). |
