I have a '90 Range Rover. Twice now the check engine light has come on in the last year and a half. After paying an hours worth of labor to the dealer each time, (and all they seem to do is reset the light), they have never found anything wrong but report the switch that triggered the light. I figure if I can learn how to reset the light I can save myself $70+ of an hours worth of bogus assessment.
I would reset the light - and see if it stays off. If the light comes back on, then it must be a true failing switch/relay in the system. If it stays off, then I saved myself an expensive car wash!

So, my question is, can anyone tell me how I can reset the check engine light on my '90 Range Rover?
