Has anyone had any problems with K&N air filters letting grit through? I just helped a friend put a supercharger on his Toyota T-100 and when we removed the intake manifold his intake runners had a fine almost silicala like sand substance in it. He also found it in the intake between the filter and the throttle body. Are K&N's safe or should I use the stock filters or another brand? When I pulled my filter(K&N) out to clean it the airbox after the filter looked clean. By the way I have a 96' Discovery.
